Blue tsunami

So, in the May 28 edition there are four Sound Offs praising President Trump for bringing victory to his hand-picked candidates in the Republican (also known as MAGA) primary. Now, those winners get to face opposition candidates in the form of Democrats come November in the general election. That’s where not only Republicans, but also Democrats and Independents cast ballots. Neither of the later two groups can stand Trump. So, yes, Virginia, there will be a blue tsunami (not simply a wave) in November.

Just a primary

Trump supporters are doing a lot of crowing about primary wins. Remember, in a Republican primary, only Republicans are voting. The president’s approval rating is in the 30s. The real story will be told in the general election.

Ebola again

President Obama contained Ebola during his tenure. Now it’s back even with all the immigration crackdowns. Maybe all the EOs being overturned before they were vetted is coming back to bite. Please, Lord, bring back the scientists.

Who’s next?

Trump lovers and Trump haters are wasting their time and ours. Both parties should be searching for the best candidates to put before us in 2028. It’s not that far away. Offer us some leadership options.

Why Republicans win

The truth of the matter is that, when all is said and done, the Democrats simply don’t have a winning hand on two deal-breaking issues for voters: Immigration and transgenderism.

No gerrymandering

I agree with the Democrats who are saying we should eliminate gerrymandering. Yes, let’s get rid of forced Black-majority districts.

A different White House

Cage fighting on the lawn, half the buildings torn down, and gunshots, too. Not so classy.
