No representation

So, since Mississippi is a red state, the one district Bennie Thompson represents should be eliminated because he’s Black, even though his district was created by Republicans?

Back to the future

Keeping aging coal plants open is only to appease Trump’s base. Digging for coal in tunnels is not only dangerous, but young people rightly so don’t want this job. In addition, solar energy is clean and abundant. The only thing retarding our progress on this are Republicans representing states that have coal mines. They are holding progress while the rest of the world moves on.

Gerrymandering

I am a die-hard Republican but one with common sense. To the person who thinks Bennie Thompson (who I don’t particularly care for) shouldn’t have a chance to be elected because our state is so red, simple math tells a different story. Blacks make up 38% of our population, so one could and should argue one third of our reps should be Black. Moreover, this percentage is probably about the same as the Democrats in Mississippi.

Redistricting

It’s funny how every time there is redistricting, the party in power loves it, and the party in power hates it. Then, then the other party finds itself in charge, it’s exactly the same thing all over again. The only thing politicians care about is staying in power. They don’t care a rip about you or me.

What’s next

Yes, it is America first. Threats to this country are being taken care of instead of ignored or hoping that we could buy our way out. Venezuela? Maybe it could have been a base for Iran or China in our hemisphere? Maybe drugs were being run into our country from there? Iran getting a nuclear weapon and them believing us Satin, who do you think they would use it on right after Israel? President Trump sees a problem and looks for how to fix it. Not like a politician who looks for what new program that can cost money to just say they fixed the problem. Fuel is still less than the high price during President Biden’s administration. Give him a little time and support to finish the job.

‘Renovations’

I am wondering how Donald Trump is calling the ballroom project “East Wing renovations” when that 100-plus years of history no longer even exists.

Good advice

The article on preventing falls was on point. I had to learn the hard way. Remove rugs, don’t multitask, strengthen your leg muscles and seek help from PT and OT, which Medicare will cover with a prescription.
