Hancock Parish
I had to laugh when I read that residents of Mississippi’s southwesternmost county have “begun” calling it “Hancock Parish,” in reference to the large Louisiana weekender and transplant population. In fact, my dear and late friend, John Lambeth, former Outdoors Editor of the Sun Herald, coined that term 40 years ago.
Thank you
It was about the 16th and my wife was driving her new car west on 90. When she turned into the pier at the Pass, broken pavement blew out the two left (port side) tires. Two gentlemen helped her with putting the spare on the front and would take no compensation for the hard and dirty work. Thank you again.
Useless indictments
The only people making money are lawyers. There are so many lawsuits and counter-lawsuits, it’s hard to keep up. They are busier than Congress.
Comey indictment
The newest indictment against James Comey will go no further than the last one did. Then what, look for mortgage fraud? This method of pick the enemy then find the charges to bring isn’t the way it works. Did “8647” mean impeach Trump, use the 25th Amendment, or something more violent? That calls for the operation of Comey’s mind, which is complete speculation and inadmissible in court. You would think someone as experienced in litigation as Donald Trump would know that, but I’m sure he thinks causing all the trouble for Comey means he won, regardless of the legal outcome.
Let’s be fair
A grand jury has seen fit to hand down an indictment against James Comey for “8647.” That’s fine. Let’s now find all the folks who posted “8646” online and offer them the same treatment.
Irony
The irony of Trump supporters calling for others to “turn down the rhetoric“ is overwhelming.
Ballroom now
Gotta be honest: I think I’m ready for that ballroom to be built now.
