Sun Herald readers weigh in on local and national topics.

Iran

Something I saw on social media rang true: There is no moral equivalence between the U.S. and the Iranian butchers who have terrorized the world for nearly 50 years. It’s really easy for sane people to tell the good guys from the bad guys here.

How about some plans?

Do any Democrats have actual plans for America, other than President Trump is bad?

And another one

Another White male arrested for child sexual abuse. Isn’t it about time we profile them?

NFL scandal

When it comes to the scandal involving the reporter and the football coach, they both had a duty to not even give the appearance of impropriety, and you don’t have to go any deeper into it than that. How can anyone these days not realize you’re likely on camera everywhere all the time, especially celebrities who are frequently followed by paparazzi? Whatever went on, how reckless and dumb to risk job, marriage and reputation.

Spirit Airlines

As someone who once had the misfortune of flying on Spirit, there’s no need for the government to save that airline. Let it die.

Water cleanup

The Gulf Coast governments should use the BP money to attack the bacteria growing in our waters on the beach. After all, isn’t BP paying a settlement for destroying our waters?

America First

When will Donald Trump’s obsession with conquering the world wane and his commitment to the citizens of this country begin? We have a crisis brewing on many, many fronts including health care, housing, cost of living, social security, and national debt to name a few. The billions already spent on military operations could go a long way to help the people who are the backbone of America. We are suffering under a tyrant who only cares about memorializing his supposed greatness in expensive gold projects all over Washington D.C.
