DOJ failures

I agree with Pam Bondi’s removal as U.S. Attorney General. Her promises of transparency on the Epstein files and other high-profile investigations fell short, and her oversight of procedural matters was weak. The Justice Department requires leadership that ensures both accountability and effective action, and Bondi failed to provide it. Procedural missteps, slow follow-through, and unfulfilled expectations showed she could not manage the department to the standard the public deserves.

So rude

You sat in a booth near the exit door of Del Sol, the restaurant on 49, and over and over and over, at least a dozen times, you turned on the speaker of your phone at maximum volume. I don’t know what was so pressing on Easter Sunday that you had to ruin the meals of everyone around you with that noise. I can’t understand why you couldn’t just leave the volume turned down if, in fact, it was imperative that you use your phone so many times during the Sunday meal. I hope that you and rude people like you will heed this message.

It’s four

If Delbert Hosemann wants me to vote for him when he runs for governor, he’s going to have to learn that there are four syllables in the state we live in.

Custody bill

The 50/50 custody bill needs regulations to make sure children are not placed in harm’s way. Parents need to be vetted to make sure they will take care of children, provide a safe environment and is a good role model.

Rhetoric

Regarding Iran, Trump stated boldly “They have no anti-aircraft protection. They have no nothing. They don’t have anything,” “They’re not putting up a fight. They’re not even shooting at us, OK?” Then the Iranians shoot down two U.S. aircraft. Military operations are inherently uncertain. Even when one side appears to have an advantage, unexpected outcomes (like aircraft losses) can still occur. Political rhetoric vs. operational reality are often very different things. Leaders may frame situations in ways that support messaging goals, while military professionals operate in a far more nuanced and risk-aware environment. Concern about respect for service members and their families is widely shared across political viewpoints. Most people agree that their sacrifices shouldn’t be minimized or mischaracterized. Can someone please shut him up.

Immigration

It’s clear that President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration is making a difference across America. Thank you, Mr. President.

Think we’re not winning?

We were able to rescue our downed pilot with little to no resistance of consequence from the Iranians.
