BP money use
We have several areas of our beach that are marked as dangerous because of bacteria. Coastal cities received money from BP to offset the damage done by the oil spill. Was any of this money used for water quality?
Military budget
President Trump now wants a whopping increase to a $1.5 trillion Defense Dept. bill for his unauthorized, poorly-planned war that has cast the world economy into oil-scarcity chaos. This war is in addition to his unproven “Golden Dome” missile defense and Trump battleship-led “Golden Fleet.” Two oddly-named, good ideas, but with unproven technical execution. All this expensive military planning by a draft-dodger who claims to know more than anybody about anything.
Democrats
Just when I start to worry that the Democrats are going to have a successful mid-term election, some far-left candidate starts talking about race or sex or gender. And I know that everything is going to be OK.
Olympics
Finally, it appears the Olympics are ready to declare that men may only compete against men and women may only compete against women.
Wicker and NATO
Sen. Wicker, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has always been a strong supporter of NATO. Why haven’t we heard his presumed objection to President Trump’s desire to withdraw the U.S. from continued participation in this organization that we, primarily, created after WWII?
Newsflash
We don’t have a king because we speak out against, demonstrate against, and vote against people who attempt to rule like kings. Such behavior by citizens is not silly. It is essential to the survival and flourishing of democracy.
So bizarre
President Trump tells the young people of Iran to rise up against the regime. Today, he threatens to bomb the peoples’ infrastructure including all electric power, water processors, and bomb to Iran back to the stone age. Such ignorance does not align to winning the heart and minds of independent Iranians to transform their country.
