The U.S. Capitol building is seen Tuesday in Washington. The White House rejected the latest offer from Democratic lawmakers on proposed new constraints on federal immigration officers, the latest sign that there would not be a quick resolution of the stalemate that has left the Department of Homeland Security without funding.

Open the government

Look, Democrats, we get it. You don’t like President Trump. But here’s the thing: We voted for him, and lots of other Republicans. So, if you wouldn’t mind, could you kindly let them do their job? If they’re as bad as you say they are, then you should have no problem winning in November.

Enough is enough

The best time to open the government was yesterday. The second-best time is right now.

Ridiculous

Democrats are forcing a DHS shutdown to make sure ICE can’t stop illegals from going to polling stations and voting.

Art of the Deal

For someone allegedly so well-versed in the “Art of the Deal,” President TACO sure seems to have a hard time ... you know ... making deals.

Liberal propaganda

Wednesday in the printed edition of Sound Off, most space is dedicated to liberal “opinions” based on liberal “facts.” One after another basically saying President Trump has gone into the Iran conflict alone. Then buried on page 7 of the same newspaper, are the facts that everyone except the liberals know. Britain has fighters, helicopters, a destroyer and more in the conflict. France has a dozen ships including a nuclear carrier ready to go with other assets. Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and more are sending naval ships. Meanwhile, in the liberal echo chamber,“ no allies are helping.” This is what is wrong with the country. Liberals are pumped full of propaganda, while the rest of humanity gets the news.

Subtle hint

All the spam commercials lately seem to be reinforcing Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith’s comment that we should eat something else besides beef, if we can’t afford it.

What’s going on?

Doesn’t anybody know how to drive out here. It seems like every day there is a huge mess on I-10.

Ruler-in-chief

President Trump doesn’t want to be a leader. He wants to be a ruler. That’s why he bypasses Congress and rules by executive orders. That’s why he is so insulting toward news media that publish data contrary to his claims, and individuals who question or disagree with him. He doesn’t want anyone to get in his way or question his way. Before transformative government oppression occurs in the U.S. or widespread civil violence erupts, Americans need to decide if that is the kind of president and nation they want.

You’ve got a problem?

How many times do we have to give farmers billions of dollars because President Trump’s policies have hurt them? They overwhelmingly voted for this guy 3 times. Ask him for the money. Maybe he can sell some crypto.

A real threat

While the debate goes on about whether or not Iran was an imminent threat to us, consider this: The extreme build up of our warships in the Middle East over weeks was most definitely an imminent threat to them. Would they have been justified in attacking us first over that threat?

I’m confused

If Russia is helping Iran, why are we not helping Ukraine?

America First

As I watch the cost of pretty much everything skyrocket, I’m still waiting on that America First president to ... make America first.
