Can’t wait to see the best baseball team in Mississippi this coming week in Biloxi: The Southern Miss Golden Eagles, holders of wins over Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

AI dangers

Why are we even developing artificial superintelligence when the possible downside is that it may conclude that the human race should be eliminated? Enough smart computer people are sounding the alarm such that we all should be paying attention.

Anti-drone tech

Viva Ukraine! Now that we need help shooting down drones from Iran, Ukraine is graciously volunteering to help us, despite our president declaring they were “gambling with WWIII” and “without us, you don’t have any cards” during Trump’s ungracious reception of Zelenskyy in the Oval Office on Feb. 28, 2025.

War or excursion?

Now our president is calling the war with Iran an “excursion.” He makes it sound more like a holiday than the reality of the war and death we are witnessing. Russia already used “special military operation,” so I guess this is the best word salad he could come up with.

Must be done

Credit to President Trump for taking action against Iran. As you can see from Iran’s attacks throughout the Middle East, the country is a danger to us all.

Bad timing

Getting rid of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his gang was not necessary or urgent for us to do. Not at this price. Not in this way. Not at this time. The blowback from our aggression will haunt us morally and politically for decades. Let’s stop. Let’s not make it any worse.

Cuba knows

Suddenly, Cuba is looking to make a deal with the United States. Art of the Deal, people. Cuba sees what happened in Venezuela and Iran and knows it can’t keep playing games with us.
