Equal justice

Let me get this straight: Interrupting a Senate hearing earns you seven criminal charges, but storming the U.S. Capitol with a few thousand of your closest friends gets you ... a presidential pardon tour. Good to know the justice system is flexible. Apparently the key is not to interrupt — just overthrow the place.

The last straw

First Sparklight drops the station that showed the Braves the last two years, now they have replaced The Weather Chanel. We continue to get less channels, but the bill keeps going up. I would encourage all subscribers to call and say we have had enough.

Lou Holtz

What a despicable article to write about Lou Holtz. His political opinions had nothing to do with his coaching abilities. People admire him. Why do you want to bring him down because you don’t like Trump? What an ignorant woke person you must be.

What we pay for

We give the Israelis money, and they use it to provide free healthcare and college for everyone. Make that make sense.

Rats and the sinking ship

Republican politicians (35) are hitting the exits and not running for reelection in historical numbers. The common thread as they go out the door, and only as they are leaving, is commenting on the ideological shift away from real conservatism, legislative dysfunction within the party, intra-party stress, and personal scandals. Of course they do not criticize the administration until after they’ve declared they are not seeking reelection for fear of President Trump’s retribution.

Always someone worse

The insanity continues with President Trump appointing Sen. Markwayne Mullin to take over for disgraced Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who was finally fired. Mullin has zero law enforcement experience, no anti-terrorism training, no immigration law experience, and no college degree of any form. Is there anyone less qualified?

Crickets

The folks who are always so worked up about disrespecting the flag and the anthem have been conspicuous in their silence over President Trump’s refusal to remove his hat for our fallen soldiers. Guess it’s only a problem when it’s the Democrats.
