Human rights

If you say that you support human rights but can’t bring yourself to show solidarity with those fighting for their liberty in Iran, you’ve revealed yourself.

Good thing

The Iranian regime killed and oppressed its own people, and his ousting is a good thing for the world.

About time

It took us more than four decades, but we did it. I remember when the Iranians took our people as hostages. They’ve destroyed the lives of the people of Iran for almost 50 years. Today their evil leader is dead.

Again?

What makes anyone cheer about the regime change in Iran? The next leadership there will be as bad or worse without thousands of American boots on the ground, many more military and civilian casualties and years of our tax dollars going to the President of Peace’s “no new wars” and “no more nation building” lies.

‘No’ to war in Iran

Was Ayatollah Ali Khamenei an oppressive, vicious leader? Yes, but we should have let his own people revolt against him, or let neighboring Middle East nations destroy him and his followers. Our USA bombs and missiles, and those of our ally Israel, are killing thousands of innocent Iranians, including children, and by starting this war we have motivated Iran, in retaliation against us and Israel, to bomb at least 8 neighboring countries, killing more innocent men, women, and children.

How old are you?

I’m old enough to remember when Republican after Republican, frothing at the mouth, warned us all that Kamala Harris would lead us into WWIII. And that President America First would focus on the homeland, not more new wars and nation-building in a place that hates us.

Senior discount

I’m 79, my wife is 80. We have lived in a modest home in Biloxi for the last 47 years. I worked, saved and invested money, even when in the military age 18 thru 21. I am a Disabled Veteran suffering a damaged lower spine and five Agent Orange caused cancers. At age 65, the nice people at the Biloxi Water Department allowed us a small, but appreciated, discount on our water bill as senior citizens. Thank you. Unfortunately, that kindness has changed. We received a letter and form to fill out to be able to continue the senior citizen discount. The form requires us to send a copy of our Federal Tax return (Mississippi Tax return is not acceptable) showing the source of all our income: Social Security, 401K, savings accounts, IRA, any investments, Veteran Benefits or any other income plus the same data on anyone living in our home. If we don’t do this, we lose the discount. With casinos, swimming pool owners, restaurants, golf courses and others granted ways to get discounts, we’d appreciate a continued sympathy for those of us older, unemployed citizens. Further, we don’t want all our information floating around anywhere other than with state and federal tax officers.

United Nations silliness

For the person extolling the virtues of the UN, you must be a liberal. China, you know, that bastion of freedom, is on the Human Rights Council. Members of the UN participated in the massacre of Israeli citizens on Oct. 7. The UN is primarily funded by the United States, but controlled by China and U.S. opponents. The U.N. is a tainted organization that has fallen far from its original purpose, just like the Democrat party. No wonder you champion it.

Data centers

Elon Musk’s data centers in Southaven, Mississippi, are violating EPA standards for pollution emissions. They are circumventing the rules by mounting the stations on trailers. The health of the surrounding residents doesn’t matter to them, just making money, which is what billionaires do.

She got you again

Hillary Clinton has now sat for more hours and hours of grilling and the best thing anyone has on her is one bad quote about Benghazi. She’s a slippery one, huh?

Trouble ahead

I have to say that I am very much not looking forward to whatever President Trump and the folks in power drum up to distract us once we get back to asking about the Epstein files.

Breathing easy

Now that the threat of terrorist attacks is at an all-time high, we can all breathe easy knowing our anti-terrorism program is being led by 23-year-old Thomas Fugate, an ex-gardener and grocery clerk with no qualifications, no experience and no national security background.
