Attacking evil

Much will be said in the next few days and much political blather has already been uttered. No matter your politics, we have struck pure evil. If you deny it, I will pray for you. May God bless all those serving in harm’s way.

About time

For decades, Iran has been begging for the United States or Israel to take action. Finally, we have leaders with the wherewithal to do what has long needed to be done.

There’s always a tweet

A 2024 tweet from Stephen Miller, a White House political advisor: “If young men don’t want to be drafted to fight in Kamala and Cheney’s World War III, they’d better get out there and vote for Trump.”

No Trumps

You can bet your bottom dollar that we wouldn’t be at war with Iran if any Trumps had to put their own boots on the ground.

Backroom dealings

Many conservatives in Mississippi still remember the bitter 2014 Republican primary between Thad Cochran and Chris McDaniel. What should have been a straightforward contest turned into a runoff clouded by crossover voting, backroom alliances, and a Republican establishment that many felt was more interested in protecting its own power than respecting its voters. After Cochran’s passing, Cindy Hyde-Smith was appointed by then-Governor Phil Bryant, reinforcing the perception that insiders, not grassroots citizens, were steering the ship. If we truly believe in accountable government, Mississippi voters must demand transparency, integrity, and leadership chosen by the people — not arranged behind closed doors.

Great news, but ...

Mortgage rates fall below 6%, but many do not have the money or credit score to qualify for it. My interest rate is 4%, so no break for me.

Specific outrage

We demonize transgender people, but have no problem with pedophiles. Make me understand, please.
