She ain’t scared

You can say what you want about Hiliary Clinton, but she doesn’t duck her accusers. She will testify under oath and doesn’t lose her composure. If you’re not lying, why not testify under oath?

Trump and the Clintons

President Trump told NBC News, it “bothers me that somebody is going after Bill Clinton” and described Hillary as a “very capable woman.” Something weird is going on, and it seems to be related to the Epstein files.

Why Hillary?

I totally get why Bill Clinton should be called to answer Epstein questions, but Hillary? I’m not an expert on cheating on your spouse, but I have to guess that Bill wasn’t exactly filling her in on all of his Epstein-related exploits.

Finally

It’s about time the Clintons answer questions about their association with Jeffrey Epstein. Having said that, let’s not stop there. There sure seem to be a lot more politicians that haven’t been called to answer questions. Let’s not forget them.

Long goodbye

When President Trump’s current term ends, does anyone seriously think he’s going to willingly exit the White House?

Women’s hockey gold

Three cheers for the U.S. women’s Olympic hockey team and their gold medal victory. Three boos for President Trump and Kash Patel. President Trump’s attempt at locker room humor for “having” to invite the women to his State of the Union address was pathetic and insulting, and FBI director Kash Patel could have celebrated with the women as well as the men on their gold medal victory. Women get little to no respect from the Trump administration.

Clifford Brown

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for publishing that article on Clifford Brown, the trumpet player. In the 1950s I was a teen who aspired to be a jazz musician. I listened to everyone and still have 33 1/3 rpm albums of their music. Miles Davis received more adulation than Clifford, but it was “Brownie” who stole my heart with his eloquence and amazed my mind with his lyrical, creative solos.

Illegal immigrants

There are different laws concerning people here illegally and U.S. citizens. Stating that you only support ICE if they follow the law is exactly what they are doing. Illegals can be arrested and held until they go before an immigration judge and state the reason they should stay. The process is very different if you’re an American citizen.

Too much trash

The shopping center at East Pass Road and Cowan is an embarrassment to our city. I don’t know who owns and manages it, but trash was everywhere yesterday, In the parking lots, in front of the stores and on the west side of the building. It is seen by tourists, and everyone but code enforcement, obviously.

Disengage

Deepfake technologies (Artificial Intelligence) illustrate the current crisis vividly. A political leader can be shown saying words never spoken. A public figure can be placed in events that never occurred. Once publicized, such content spreads faster than any corrections. The philosopher Hannah Arendt warned that when citizens cannot distinguish fact from fiction, they become vulnerable not to tyranny alone but to cynicism. If everything might be fake, then nothing matters. If nothing matters, then power fills the vacuum. The greater threat is not deception—it is pure exhaustion. When verification requires constant vigilance, many of us simply disengage from the BS. And I’m at that point

Coming soon

It’s great that Republicans on House Oversight established a precedent today for First Ladies to be deposed about Epstein. Can’t wait until Democrats take over the committee at the end of the year.

Iran

Do I understand correctly that we need to go to war with Iran because it is “probably a week away from having industrial grade bomb making material,” just months after we “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities?
