Harris-Trump debate
During their televised debate before the presidential election, Kamala Harris kept smiling at Donald Trump. I get that she was trying to show how childish Trump is. But this tactic may have backfired, leading some folks to take her less seriously, costing her votes. Now, consider the havoc currently caused by President Trump. Imagine, if Kamala Harris had been elected president, how different (normal) things could be today. But now it’s too late.
Breaking the law
Yes, I have broken the law and drove over the speed limit. I also knew that the police were looking for it, and I have been caught. I accepted the consequences. At no time did I ever assault the police, yell in their face, or lead a protest. I knew I had done wrong. If you are an illegal immigrant, and the authorities find you, you will be deported. Those are the consequences of breaking the law. My only hope is that one day, the Democrats will learn that yes, the law applies to them, not just for everyone else.
Liars, all of them
We just were shown proof that the Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick told a big whopping lie about his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein. It really doesn’t matter, because if everyone who lied in the Trump administration was fired, there would be no one left.
Yes to school choice
Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann’s killing of a recent school-choice bill has sparked debate across Mississippi and even drawn national attention in the Wall Street Journal. While reasonable people can disagree on policy details, expanding educational options for families should remain part of the potential options. School choice is not an attack on public education, it’s an effort to give parents additional tools to meet their children’s needs. Families deserve policies that put students first and keep every effective option on the table.
Farmers’ Market
Hey Biloxi! Leave the Biloxi Farmers’ Market alone. It has been two days a week year-round for many, many years. Because it works. Cutting it back is a very bad idea. The community wants it, the vendors need it. Leave it alone.
It was definitely ‘bad’
Congratulations, I guess, to Bad Bunny. Though I truly don’t understand why the NFL would send out a halftime act that a large percentage of the viewing audience couldn’t understand.
Irony
I was listening to a country music playlist at the gym, and I swear I could not understand a word they were saying. And rap music is just as bad. I liked Bad Bunny’s halftime show because it was uplifting, made me smile and dance.
