They watched what?
President Trump’s private Super Bowl party aired Bad Bunny’s halftime show instead of the alternative halftime show. I guess he had to watch it so he could criticize it.
What a dud
I watched the other Super Bowl halftime show, just to see what all the fuss was about. Would it have killed Kid Rock to at least pretend like he was actually singing live?
No hablo
Would it have killed Bad Bunny or NBC or Apple or whoever to at least throw those of us who don’t speak Spanish a bone? Because I’m guessing there were a lot of us out there wondering what was going on.
Can’t please us all
Thanks to the internet, I watched both halftime shows. There were things I liked and disliked about both. Apparently, I’m not a big fan of modern music, whatever the message. Still ... imagine being tapped to do a show and being told you should try to please 127.7 million people. Hahahaha.
Great commercial
Kudos to Budweiser for bringing back the Clydesdales for a Super Bowl commercial. The theme of the eagle chick growing up and flying from the horse with “Free Bird” playing in the background was absolute genius and the best thing I’ve seen on TV in a long time. The man at the end was crying, and so was I.
Black History Month
It’s Black History Month, a time to honor the many contributions and advancements made by the Black people of this country. It’s also a time to remember the horrors of racism that have scarred us and even though much progress has been made, still exist. So what does our president do? He’s spent an inordinate amount of time trying to erase history and posts (or lets someone else post) a vile and wildly inappropriate picture of our first Black president and his wife.
Live fire?
WLOX calls it “fitting“ and ”poetic“ when Pass Christian students float fire in the form of “Lanterns of Hope” into the sky to go who knows where. Where were the grown-ups who should’ve been chaperoning these children? I “hope” they have lots of funds set aside to rebuild someone’s home if they catch a dwelling on fire.
Selling ICE
Apparently the Trump Administration is now spending millions to change America’s view of ICE, despite what we’ve seen with our very eyes. Never before have there been so many TV ICE commercials. Nice try. Everyone is a supporter of the legitimate ICE, but not what looks like a disguised ragtag, radical, out of control group of thugs, as in Minneapolis.
Paved road
The newly paved Hewes Avenue finally was finished from the bridge to Pass Road. Traveling this route about a block before reaching Pass Road you encounter a manhole cover that is a good 2-to-3 inches below the paved road. It is hard to believe that a contractor would re-surface this road and not adequately bring this cover up level to the pavement. The sad part of this poor job is I’m sure they were well paid for this.
Epstein
It’s really quite astonishing that releasing the Epstein files will impact so many lives of people who continually send posts about them.
Pass SB2114
I am disappointed that four of the five House and Senate bills proposed in this year’s Mississippi legislative session were again allowed to die in committee. These bills, including SB2114 (still active), are crucial for strengthening our state’s safety and enforcing immigration laws. SB2114 would help protect our communities, support law enforcement, and ensure cooperation with federal authorities to address illegal immigration. I encourage all Mississippians to call their elected officials and urge them to approve SB2114 and send it to the governor for signature. Let’s give this important legislation the attention it deserves.
Cartoon memes
President Trump did nothing wrong and does not need to apologize. He claims innocence in spreading racist viral monkey memes on his Truth Social post. He didn’t see it. But, he is good with trolling people using childish cartoons he doesn’t even watch, because that’s what all mature world leaders do.
