How low can you go?

A meme depicting the Obamas as apes isn’t “edgy,” it’s straight-up racist filth — dehumanization pulled from the oldest, ugliest chapter of American history. Whether Trump personally shared it or just benefits from the culture that produces it is beside the point; a president who won’t condemn something this vile is choosing complicity. Silence in the face of bigotry isn’t neutrality — it’s endorsement. This shouldn’t be partisan. If you have a functioning moral compass, you denounce this kind of garbage, period. The fact that the Oval Office can’t muster even that basic decency tells you everything you need to know about how low the bar has sunk.

Next step

Saturday’s paper had Keith Davis’ answer about why he’s not at Ingalls any longer. He’s got a sporty retirement on the taxpayers’ dime with all his ‘cups of coffee’ at a litany of law ‘hats’ he wore. So, where’s this new opportunity he quit for?

Benghazi arrest

The DOJ announced it has arrested a key person involved with the 2012 attack on Benghazi. They are digging deep to find distractions.

Epstein pals

Whoever we vote for in the coming elections, Republican or Democrat, let’s make sure they are regular people with a record of good public service, and in no way associated with all these elite, excessively rich people who are currently, personally, enriching themselves through government connections. The Epstein files have made wealth and power a disqualifier for public office.

Surcharges

As a consumer what are our rights addressing businesses that charge the 3% surcharge on debit cards? In the Nov. 19, 2025, Sun Herald article it stated what “businesses can’t do when using a credit card surcharge program, according to Stax Payment experts: Apply surcharges to debit cards.” What action can consumers take when charged?

Hardly working

Yesterday was a beautiful weather day as I drove on I-10 to Louisiana. Over the 12 miles of orange traffic cones there were 2 spots with construction activity. One was a large crew actually working on the noise abatement barrier at Diamondhead, and the other was 2 guys in their safety vests at a bridge site standing there talking to each other. Will someone please explain to me why there is, with little exception, any urgency in completing this project? Whomever is responsible for this shameless foot-dragging should seek other employment.

Scary things

Imagine you got pulled over by the Gulfport or Biloxi PD for running a stop sign and the officer had no name tag and was wearing a mask. Scary. Imagine protesters getting violent. Scary. Imagine a seventeen-year-old kid patrolling a protest with an assault rifle. Scary. Imagine a dictator in the United States of America. Scary and unthinkable until now. “Imagine all the people living life in peace.”
