Minnesota shooting

By now everyone should know that you don’t run from the police if they are telling you to get out of the car, because you could get shot. On the other hand, I thought officers were trained, and it’s just common sense, to be on the side of the car, not in front of it, because you could get run over by a panicking person. Both sides were wrong, but the White House characterizing this senseless death as an act of domestic terrorism is beyond ridiculous.

Comply

I mean, it really is relatively simple: If you comply with an officer’s commands, you don’t get shot. If you do not comply, you run the risk of something life-altering or life-ending happening.

Oh, really

So this litany of Coast restaurants, popular and successful, continue to close shop. Hmmm, what in the world could the reason be? It certainly cannot be the throes of people who rebuilt this place after Katrina. They’re all over the place still, right? Cleaners, washers, chefs, waiters, busboys, sanitation all just waiting to be picked up at the grocery stores or even Home Depot. It certainly cannot be the tariffs we Americans are all paying on all our food, housing, cars, building products, all of which jack the prices up for any restaurant’s profitability.

Priorities

Do you really think invading a country to steal its oil is good for us? Give me affordable healthcare and foods and I’ll be a believer.

Weird science

Sec. Kennedy is changing the nutrition charts to put red meat, cheese, and whole milk at the top. Maybe that’s what’s eating his brains. So, I guess the Trump diet of fast foods is healthy now.

Vaccinations

The bad: We’re going to have a lot more dead babies and young children. The good: If parents aren’t smart enough to vaccinate their children, then maybe we don’t want that bloodline to continue.

Musk in MS

Gov. Reeves welcomed Elon Musk’s humongous empty warehouse into Mississippi on Thursday. No mention of what will be done, who’s will be working there, and how this benefits the state, except for the taxes. The same Musk who destroyed many a Mississippian’s life by eliminating jobs, services, agencies, programs, medicines and procedures, research, vaccines--making untold photo ops with a toy chainsaw while people have literally died because of all these actions.
