Both full of it

President Trump said Renee Good “viciously ran over an ICE officer.” Democrats have insisted she did nothing wrong. And here I am thinking both suggestions are nonsense. Is nobody willing to admit that everyone was wrong? She absolutely should not have backed up and tried to leave the scene. And she definitely should not have been shot in the face and killed for it.

Senseless tragedy

I see where Rep. Benny Thompson has called for a thorough investigation and said those responsible must face justice. I fully agree that this tragedy should be investigated. I think those who encourage people to protest law enforcement doing their job should be punished. Rep. Thompson’s statement is part of the problem. I watched the video and the woman clearly interfered and drove her car at the officers. Democrats call violence against Capitol Police during the riot on Jan. 6 an insurrection. Why isn’t violence against law enforcement that they encourage also an insurrection?

Remove Noem

Kristi Noem, President Trump’s Homeland Security Secretary, needs to be immediately removed from office. Noem says a U.S. citizen who was trying to get away from an ICE officer in Minnesota was committing domestic terrorism and trying to kill ICE officers. Watch the video. Noem’s portrayal was arrogant and immoral, a standard in this administration.

ICE rules

The rules ICE officers are expected to follow are pretty clear. And the officer who shot Renee Good was following pretty much none of them.

Future of grocery stores?

I visited the new ALDI just to compare with Rouse’s. There was one checkout person, I had to bag my own groceries, and most of the products were packaged. Aldi is a German chain, and Rouse’s is a local family-owned business.

Denmark

It needs to be remembered that Denmark was one of the first to stand with us and send troops to fight in Afghanistan after Sept. 11. That attack was the only time that Article 5 (an attack on one is an attack on all NATO members) has been invoked.

Uncalled for

I just saw a video of an ICE officer desecrating a memorial to Renee Good in Minnesota and then instigating a fight with a protester. So these are the people we have roaming the streets?
