Venezuela

President Trump’s invasion of Venezuela has everything to do with their oil. The U.S. is lagging behind most developed countries in their efforts to transition to clean energy. The reason is simple. Trump has huge investments in fossil fuels. He wants to make sure that he can continue to make big money off of these investments. Therefore, he needs to stall transitioning to clean energy and promote fossil fuels as much as possible. This is not good for us and our environment, but that does not matter one bit to Trump.

Someone’s gotta do it

Once again, it is left to the United States to do what must be done on the world stage. Kudos to President Trump and his administration for handling Venezuela.

Russia? Venezuela?

So let me get this straight. We can bomb and capture a leader of Venezuela, but we can’t do it to Vladimir Putin who is killing thousands in Ukraine? We can bomb a country and spend millions, but we can’t extend healthcare benefits for Americans? This is insane.

Rubio’s jobs

As much as I can figure out, Marco Rubio is the Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, Head of the National Archives, on the design team for the Trump Battleship, and now going to help run Venezuela for a while. Can anyone realistically be expected to do good work on all these demanding jobs?

Democracy or oil?

Here we go again. We’ve tried this before in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. How’d that work out?

Taking action

See that, world? We finally have a president willing to take action. Keep that in mind, Cuba, Iran and others.

Bizarre

It is beyond bizarre that 53% of Republicans support President Trump’s kidnapping of Venezuela’s president and military attack on a sovereign country. Make no mistake, these are violations of International Law and the Constitution.
