Hotty Toddy

What a game the Ole Miss Rebels played in the Sugar Bowl. Congratulations and good luck against Miami in the Final Four.

Quite a day

Lane Kiffin spent his Thursday watching the LSU women’s basketball team lose in the afternoon and watching the Ole Miss football team win at night. Maybe he’s the problem.

No give-backs

He’s yours, LSU. We’re happy with the coach that actually beat Georgia and won a big game, not the one that always seemed to come up small when it really counted.

Wanted to win a title

So, to be clear, Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss because he wanted a better chance to win a national title. I guess by that he means better than a national semifinal in the Fiesta Bowl against Miami.

Sandbox behavior

Russia relentlessly bombs Ukrainian civilians, hospitals, and power grids, killing thousands — and barely blinks. Ukraine allegedly strikes one of Vladimir Putin’s residences, and suddenly he’s crying to President Trump, who rushes to sympathize. It’s the classic sandbox bully: happy to brutalize others, outraged when someone chips one of his toys. Putin can dish it out, but can’t take it — and Trump plays the comforting best friend. Beyond hypocrisy, it’s grotesque.

Bus issue

I hope that school bus No. 62 will actually begin turning into the Chateau Bayou Apartments in Ocean Springs like all the other school buses do, instead of holding up traffic on Highway 90, just short of the Bristol Boulevard light.

Minnesota

Minnesota’s ongoing fraud investigations have exposed an unacceptable truth, billions in taxpayer dollars have been stolen from public programs. Regardless of community, political party, or position, theft on this scale is an assault on every working American who pays taxes in good faith. The public deserves a full investigation, indictments, trials, convictions, and real punishment, including restitution of stolen funds. Anything less signals open season on taxpayer money. Accountability is not optional. It is the foundation of public trust.

Fraud

My new year got started off with a good laugh at the post that Tim Walz was being targeted by President Trump. I guess it had nothing to do with the billions in taxpayer money stolen in Minnesota.

Poor Gov. Walz

You know, not every Democrat is being unfairly targeted by President Trump. If even a tiny percentage of what is being alleged is true, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has bigger problems than whether the president is picking on him.

Kennedy Center

Good for the musicians, actors and dance companies who have canceled their shows in protest of President Trump slapping his name on the Kennedy Center. Let this finally be the beginning of a wave of people who stand up to this ridiculous, narcissistic bully.

Politics everywhere

I don’t understand the Trump-Kennedy Center cancellations. You’re mad because he put his name on a building? Does everything have to be political in 2026?

Mr. Perfect

Just shaking my head hearing that Donald Trump is now saying his “perfect” MRI was not an MRI at all, but a CT scan. I’ll bet it was perfect, too. These are two completely different procedures for completely different reasons. Are we to believe a control freak like Trump doesn’t know what he had or why, only that it’s “perfect?” Give me a break.
