Recycling

I live in Hancock County, specifically, Diamondhead. We sorely need recycling back in our county. Our landfill is growing by the hour because of the lack of recycling. Our current solid waste company, Coastal Environmental, started out by offering recycling drop-off locations, but that went by the wayside because they said, people were abusing the drop-off containers. Put cameras in those areas of drop-off bins. Put signs saying “you are on camera.” Whatever. Do something. Shouldn’t recycling services be a requirement in any solid waste contract?

Pay attention

It is amazing to me that a great many misguided and ignorant citizens are constantly and obsessively upset at President Trump speaking ill of the dead or making disparaging remarks about criminal immigrants, and turn a complete blind eye to unbelievable fraud and corruption of taxpayer money in the liberal state of Minnesota.

Immigration

Everyone understands that if someone enters the U.S. illegally they have done something illegal. But entering the U.S. illegally and doing hard honest work, as is true of most illegal immigrants, is very different from entering the U.S. illegally and committing murder or armed robbery or assault or engaging in terrorism.

Qualified?

While announcing the upcoming construction of a new class of battleships, President Trump announced his participation in the design because he “is a very aesthetic person.” The design team will include “Pete Hegseth and Marco.” What is the educational history of these three people that qualifies them to effectively contribute in any way to design a modern warship?

Not trickling down

Retailers are charging fees for returns. They received a huge tax cut, and they still want more profit. I guess they are trying to offset those big beautiful tariffs.

High prices

I was shocked at Dillard’s after Christmas decor sale. Everything was priced higher. I asked why, clerk told me the prices included the tariffs. So much for importers paying the tariffs. We are being taxed twice.

Executive orders

In case anyone hasn’t noticed, executive orders are how kings, potentates, monarchs, and dictators rule. Executive orders are also President Trump’s preferred tool of rule. He has issued 225 this year. Congress trembles and bows as they pass by.
