Immigrants
Please come up with a policy to allow many of the immigrants here illegally a path to citizenship. This would create more acceptance in deporting the criminal immigrants that I suspect most citizens support.
Punish the employers, too
It is not outrageous that President Trump is having hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants removed from the US. It is outrageous that the people most responsible for luring those people to migrate here illegally are not being punished as well. Like a magnet draws iron filings, industrial and business leaders drew impoverished immigrants here with attractive, often deceptive, job offers. Those employers profited greatly for decades from the cheap illegal labor of immigrants. Now the illegals are being sent back. They and their families will suffer greatly from that, but the people who attracted them and hired them illegally and exploited them will pocket their illegal profits and walk away unscathed.
Destruction
Somalian immigrants have “destroyed” our country says Dozy Don. But how can that be? He said Kamala Harris had already destroyed it. But how can that be? He said Nancy Pelosi had destroyed it before that. The only one I see with a wrecking ball is President Trump himself.
Our house
The White House is the People’s House — built for a republic, not a king. It belongs to the citizens of the United States, not to any one president. Those who live there are temporary stewards, not owners. That’s why it’s appalling to see Donald Trump treat it as a personal monument — demeaning former presidents, building an opulent ballroom and degrading the dignity of our shared national home. King Henry XIV and Emperor Nero might have approved Trump’s actions, but this is our house, and “We the People” have every right to demand it be respected.
Renaming
President Trump has 3 more years he can spend changing the name of museums, bridges, buildings, space centers, etc. after him. I just wish we weren’t honoring a 34-time convicted felon.
It won’t last
It’s cute the way President Trump thinks his name won’t be taken off things about 60 seconds after the next Democratic president is inaugurated.
What’s in a name?
The Kennedy Center was named after JFK for a reason. He and his wife brought culture and arts during his presidency. Does this egomaniac have to brand everything.
