At least he’s trying
The last president made mistakes in not protecting America enough. The current president might have made mistakes in trying to protect America too much. I know which I prefer.
Not safe
First, the EPA tells us that the only “solution“ for the Mississippi Phosphates dump pile is to seal it up. Now you want the EPA to reverse its opinion and tell you that it’s safe to punch holes in the seal, drive pilings and build on top of the seal? Citizens of Jackson County, beware and rise up.
The buck stops ... over there somewhere
Our eminently qualified Secretary of War now says that he wasn’t in the room when the second strike was made on the ever-dangerous alleged narco boat. So, that means one of two things is true: 1) He couldn’t be bothered to hang around for the full attack, or 2) He’s lying. Neither of which is a particularly good look.
What’s next?
OK, after the narco terrorist boat interventions that are meant to protect your family and mine, what’s next for the anti-Trumpers? We have been down this road every other week. Is Mr. President responsible for the Hindenberg, the Titanic, the killing of Kennedy? Leave it to these fanatics, and I probably shouldn’t be giving these non-thinkers any ideas.
Lost
On national news, a Republican senator was asked about the second airstrike on the already destroyed drug boat, and killing of those clinging to destroyed boat. He stated the previously unspoken: He said that everything in Washington is political, and there will always be two opinions given, the Democrat and the Republican. This is exactly why democracy will be lost. Fundamental truth and integrity no longer matter in Washington.
Biden years
I remember the years President Biden was in office. It was not the hellscape that President Trump tries to project every chance he gets. During Biden’s time, I didn’t hear that the blame for everything that went wrong was attributed to the prior administration. When will we stop hearing that it’s always Biden’s fault? A jury of 12 regular Americans convicted the Argentine President of drug trafficking, not Biden. Trump’s claim that there would not be a Russia-Ukraine war if he were in office is particularly bogus. He never explains how he would have stopped it.
My only ask
Having seen the two most recent presidents seemingly sleepwalk through doing the job, can we please find someone young enough to stay awake to do the job?
