Kids and scooters

This past year, Biloxi starting enforcing golf cart violations (especially underage use of golf carts on public streets). Now, the kids no longer operate golf carts, as they are riding scooters without helmets. I had much rather see them in golf carts with a much better level of protection.

Double standard

In reply to “Double Standard” that claims that no one has come forth with any examples of “illegal orders” committed by US Armed forces, I will submit this particular violation of “illegal orders” that is under senate investigation; Killing survivors: It is a war crime to kill someone who is hors de combat. If, as the administration has suggested, the strikes are part of an armed conflict, we have a national duty to investigate and prosecute. If, on the other hand (as I believe), we are not in an armed conflict with drug traffickers, then we are dealing with a lawless law-enforcement operation, and the killings would fit the definition of murder. Killing survivors at sea, rather than rescuing them, is particularly reprehensible. I think this qualifies as the perfect example.

Illegal orders

I was Navy for 27 years and I had to follow any order I was given. If they were bad orders, I still had to follow them. Then I could say something after, but if I refused to follow the orders then I could have been court-martialed and fined or jailed. This is what I agreed to when I enlisted. I couldn’t pick and choose what orders to follow. Believe it or not the military is not a democracy, and if it ever becomes one, we will fail.

Not yet

Nope, no illegal orders. Yet. What the six lawmakers were doing is reminding the military of their oath that clearly says they will obey lawful orders. With the National Guard now stationed in many of our big cities, they foresee a danger that unlawful orders may be given to interfere in future elections.

California

People are fleeing California in droves, on account of the high crime, fires, mud slides and high taxes. California supports no one but millions of illegals. Is that why you’re here? Love humidity and hurricanes?

Jan. 6 deaths

The only person shot during the Capitol riots was Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran. She was shot by a Capitol policeman. No police were killed. Several people died due to medical reasons. Yet posts on Sound Off constantly say that policemen were killed.

So confusing

Our president says he wants to pardon ex-Hoduran President Hernandez who was convicted of drug trafficking, and he wants to go to war with Venezuela because he claims their president is a drug trafficker. Does this make any sense?
