Move now

Please read the audit assessment of Moss Point Police Department. The most important people when it comes to your safety have been neglected for years. Own a business? Sell. Have a home? Sell.

What’s the deal?

I’ve noticed that the Sound Off regularly leads their first comment with pro-MAGA nonsense. The comments aren’t even thoughtful, so what’s up with that?

Healthcare

To “Obamacare,” who doesn’t want to pay for anyone else’s health insurance: A healthy population benefits us all, because disease germs don’t attack only people who are insured. You pay for police you may never need, highways you may never drive on -- why not universal health care you almost certainly will need someday, and will cost less than you’re paying now.

History

History has shown that taking the government hostage never ends well for the party responsible, in this case it’s the Democrats. History should never be ignored. Education of such must continue.

Gas prices

The entire world depends on fossil fuel. Here we pay less than most, but in California, it’s (almost) $5 dollars per gallon on average. Taxes there pay for the green energy agenda that’s not working.

Compassion, anyone?

The Affordable Care Act was instituted in 2010. Republicans have been saying for 15 years that they will come up with something better, but all they’ve come up with are promises. They are stalling in hopes of turning healthcare over to the private market entirely. How did we, the richest nation, the most religious nation, become the most callous nation?

Think again

If you think you’ve won because 8 Democrats blinked to end the shutdown, just wait until you get your health insurance bill.
