Hold the line
Republicans must hold the line against reckless and frivolous government spending that uses money we simply do not have. It is nothing short of irresponsible — and arguably criminal — to keep piling debt onto the backs of future generations, robbing them of prosperity and opportunity. Every dollar wasted today is a burden on our children tomorrow, and it’s time Washington is held accountable for its addiction to spending beyond its means.
Keep it closed
If the Democrats hate President Trump, and not being in power, so much that they’re willing to shut the government down, then let them. Sooner or later people will realize who is at fault.
We got a view
My niece and I were very excited to go to the beach across from the lighthouse to view the supermoon together while she was in town. This fun time turned quickly sour when, as soon as we parked and got out in the parking lot, there was a homeless man urinating right on the Highway 90 curb in full view of us, cars and families watching the moon. Since when is public urination allowed on the beach or, for that matter, all the homeless people living on the boardwalk? I was shocked to see the mess down there. Now I know why tourism is down. I certainly will not go back down there, and I am sure tourists will not. Biloxi you need to do something. It has gotten out of hand.
Just not true
First off illegals are not entitled to free health care. I dont care how many times they repeat that on right-wing media, it doesn’t change the fact that they are not entitled under the law. It seems all the MAGA types can do is repeat right-wing talking points.
How about a compromise?
Restore subsidies, but only to the level that existed before the pandemic. That yields a savings, but preserves support for those who most need it.
What we deserve
We have elected a bunch of folks who view politics as bloodsport. That was our choice. We have elected people who have said they will not negotiate. That was our choice. Enjoy the results.
Just change them
It baffles me, with the state of current affairs, that so much debate is giving to daylight saving time. We change clocks twice a year. How hard is that? As someone who went to work early, I was glad to see it start and end so I didn’t have to go to work in the dark in the winter.
