Support our veterans

Veterans Day is next week. We are many; some old, some young, but as veterans we are one. Still 22 of us commit suicide every day. Nobody talks about this epidemic.

Blaming victims

Once again, some people are blaming the recipients of food supplements instead of Congress. So, what if some people abuse the program? This administration is abusing everything for profits for themselves. I’d rather my tax dollars go to the people.

I don’t understand

It seems like everywhere I go across the Coast, there are signs up where businesses are looking for help. Seems like some of these SNAP recipients should try picking up some work instead of waiting for a handout.

Epstein accountability

King Charles is showing more integrity by kicking ex-Prince Andrew out of the Royal world than our King-wannabe president, who won’t even allow our citizens to see the Epstein files. Maybe being a king would be an improvement over our mafia-boss-style leader.

The shutdown

It seems obvious to me that the Democrats have decided to keep the government shut down, knowing that there were elections coming up. Maybe now they’ll back off their ridiculous stance.

Improvement?

Its sure nice to see a revival of “Early Bordello” in the White House bathroom that was just remodeled.

Fitness

So, Presidential Fitness Tests are coming back to Mississippi schools? Maybe we should run one on the president.

Wishlist

I wish we could get more restaurants here in South Mississippi. It would be nice if Bonefish Grill would come back and a Copelands would nice also.

Wives’ duty

I remember Charlie Kirk saying “wives submit to your husbands.” If I had ever said that to my wife of 45 years she would have broken a chair over my head. I sure miss her.

On the radio

Why on earth did my favorite oldies radio station suddenly change the name and genre to hip hop and rap? What a terrible idea. This makes absolutely no sense, as there are several other stations that offer hip hop and rap in our area. We only had the one station that played 50s and 60s music that we enjoy listening to. The station 102.3 plays the later oldies and 101 plays a lot of country classics, which we also enjoy. Please change our favorite station back. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.

What next?

If we allow sandwich-throwers to freely walk the streets of our nation, what next? Pudding assaults? Soon everyone will be walking around with unlicensed french fries.

Sandwich-thrower

I must say im relieved that the famous D.C. sandwich thrower has been acquitted of “assault by a deli weapon.”
