Vance and Kirk
JD Vance spoke at the Turning Point USA rally, and Charlie Kirk’s wife also attended. It’s awesome that Ole Miss was chosen for this. There are lots of conservatives there. Charlie would be proud.
Universal healthcare
I’ve seen a few posts lately about this topic and how the U.S. is one of the few countries without universal healthcare. Sounds great, and I’m not saying it wouldn’t work here. But taxes would go up dramatically to fund this, which doesn’t bother those who pay no taxes. It’s not so easy to get in to see a doctor, either. While working in a European country a few years ago, one of my colleagues who lived there had a young child that got sick one morning. The earliest he could get in to see a doctor was three days. He ended up paying out of pocket to see a doctor after hours that day to get his child timely medical care.
False blame
Rep. Ezell falsely blamed the shutdown for our flood insurance expiring. The truth is Congress failed to renew it. How do they get away with telling us blatant lies? Is it because we are dumb, blind, or intentionally ignorant?
Child abuse
How long did these 3 children suffer at the hands of this teacher? Why didn’t others report it? My hope is they all pay the price behind bars. Inmates don’t care for child abusers.
Social security
I don’t understand the post about DOGE and the Social Security increase dropping. The drop from 3.2 to 2.8 percent is due to the drop in certain inflationary metrics.
Enforce the law
I see pickup trucks daily on West Oaklawn Road in Biloxi with lifted front ends. It would be nice to see the law enforced.
Forgiveness
Why is it OK to give tax credits to billionaires, who don’t need it, but not to students to pay their student loans?
