Cruisin’ The Coast

I don’t understand all the complaining about traffic in Biloxi during Cruisin’ The Coast. The lanes are blocked so that emergency vehicles can pass, if needed. If you don’t like it, go to one of the many other cities celebrating Cruisin’ late in the week.

No help

The Strengthen Mississippi Mitigation Program is very much needed yet halted during the last budget session by our politicians. Coast politicians should have known better than to let this program lapse.

It’s about time

I applaud Sec. Hegseth for his willingness to hold the line on how our fighting men and women should look and behave.

No Kings

I’m confused. Did y’all not get your point across the last time? How many No Kings rallies are we going to have?

Both at fault

Republicans who say the Democrats shut down the government are either misguided or malicious. The parties are equally responsible. Either party could have prevented the shutdown by conceding something important to the other party. Either party can open the government back up by making a critical concession.

Poor GOP

Gosh, if only we’d elected 100% Republicans to both the House and Senate, then maybe they could actually get something done. Apparently, holding the majority in the House and Senate and having the president just isn’t quite enough to get anything done.

Whose fault?

If the Democrats don’t hurry up and end this silly shutdown, they might find that folks elect even more Republicans so we don’t have to go through this again.

The shutdown

Please do some research about our government shutdown. The Republicans’ bill to open the government includes a huge increase in healthcare costs for Americans. Democrats are fighting to keep our healthcare costs down by not approving their bill because of this inclusion. Republicans say that the Democratic bill to open the government includes giving healthcare to illegal aliens. This is false. There is no such plan in their bill. If you think this post is false, be a responsible American and fact-check it.

Give them what they want

Honestly, I’d like to see the Democrats give the Republicans everything they want, in relation to the government shutdown. Then we can really see which side has the better plan for America.

More TACOs

So where are we now on Trump’s new 100% tariffs on China? I’ve honestly lost track with all the back-and-forth.

Curious timing

The Admiral in charge of military strikes in the Caribbean resigns as US forces are being built up in the region for possible attacks on Venezuela, at the same time Hegseth forces the Pentagon press out of the building with onerous censorship rules. Nothing to see here.

Swear her in

Does Speaker Johnson think the Arizona elected official is going to die or give up? You’re going to have to swear her in at some point.
