Peace in the Middle East, the stock market setting records, inflation is back under control. The haters are not having a good day.

Biloxi streets

After waiting for years, the paving of East Howard Avenue is finally finished. Biloxi should give the company that did the paving a bonus for the outstanding job they did. The manhole covers are at the mandatory 1 1/2 inches deep. Every time I drive this road, they shake my truck so bad it rattles my teeth. I am sick and tired of paying my tax money for sorry road work. If you drive through Biloxi, you will find that most of the manhole covers in the streets are all below the street level. I think this topic should be discussed at the city council meetings.

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Historically, both Democrats and Republicans have been supportive of medical research including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). RFK Jr.’s emphasis on finding the cause of ASD is admirable but misguided. He wants to stop genetics research into ASD, which has been very successful in finding genetic links to certain types of ASD and instead restudy its link to vaccines, which has been thoroughly studied and found to be non-existent.

Peace prize

It was a superb selection and an irony that the peace prize committee selected a female from Venezuela for her stance and battle for her country’s democracy against a corrupt dictator.

Trump didn’t deserve it

If you must repeatedly apply for the Nobel Peace Prize, you must not deserve it, sir. Doing something good and demanding praise is not a good look.

Shutdown

The reason the Democrats would not sign the Republican bill to keep open the government is that there is something disturbing in the bill. Other than keeping the government open, the Republicans threw in a law to take away healthcare from thousands of people; especially poor people. Meanwhile, these Republicans are outright lying by saying Democrats put in a measure to give illegal immigrants free healthcare. This is a lie. If you are a Trump supporter, I am sure you do not believe me. I beg you, please do some fact-checking. If you rely on Medicaid, please do not support the Republicans right now.
