Cruisin’ The Coast

The newspaper story said Hancock Tourism owes Cruisin’ the Coast over $35,000. A few days later, the newspaper has a story about hundreds of volunteers stuffing bags for Cruisin’. In addition, many, if not most, of the events are staffed by volunteers. I understand police need to be paid and advertising is expensive, as well. Even so, where does this money go? Don’t cruisers also pay fees? Cruisin’ sounds like a big moneymaker for someone.

Military help

Do people not realize the presence of the military intervention in these dangerous cities is to help with crime and the citizens’ safety? Their presence is to allow the depleted local police to investigate the crimes and apprehend out-of-control criminals. If you’re worried about U.S. soldiers showing their presence, please don’t go to a military base or join to defend this most wonderful country in the world.

Two parties

The Republican Party cares only about their personal wealth and control and not representing all Americans. They control all branches of government, yet blame Democrats for a shutdown. That dog won’t hunt. There are still two parties, why not do what democracy is built upon, and negotiate?

History

If you do not know the history of Nazi Germany during the period 1935 to 1945, you would not understand why some are comparing what is happening in our country today to what happened in Nazi Germany.

Still waiting

I’m old enough to remember all those promises by all those Republican officials about how they were doing to drain the swamp and expose all the folks on the Epstein list. And since their election, it’s been nothing but crickets.

Reliable sources

The headline says, “Trump says Netanyahu agrees to Gaza terms.“ Get back to me when the headline says, “Netanyahu says Netanyahu agrees to Gaza terms.“ That, I would trust.

Dems’ fault

So we’ve got a government full of Republicans that the country elected and a tiny fraction of Democrats is jamming up the works. Ridiculous.
