Charlie Kirk

Have you seen the football stadium in California full of people mourning and honoring the loss of Charlie Kirk? Countless numbers of them turning to Christ. There have been 18,000 new requests to Turning Point USA to start new chapters around the country. Donations to TPUSA broke records for online giving in the 48 hours after his assassination. There have been condolences and tributes from around the world. His widow Erika bravely said the evil enemies of good, exemplified by her husband’s hateful murderer, have no real idea what they’ve done. The Good Book says “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed, but if it dies, it produces many seeds” and “you intended to harm me, but God meant it for good and for the saving of many lives”. Go look it up.

Governor vs. president

The recent tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk has deeply affected us all. It is truly a heartbreaking event, and our thoughts are with everyone impacted. In response to this incident, the Governor of Utah has made a heartfelt call for unity and non-violence among all people. This is a moment for us to come together and support one another. Gov. Cox, a Republican, emphasized that there is one person responsible for the killing: the shooter, and it’s important to remember this as we process our grief and anger. On a different note, the President has unfortunately taken a more divisive approach, expressing hatred against the radical left. This kind of rhetoric only serves to inflame tensions further. While Governor Cox wisely stated, “This is our moment. Do we escalate, or do we find an off-ramp,” urging people to “lower the temperature,” Trump has called for vengeance, which is not the path we should take. The sentiments expressed by Cox are what we should expect in our leaders.

He did it

Someone suggested that President Trump go to a red state and beat back crime. It’s Memphis, Tennessee. I can only hope that Jackson is next. Then ease on down to Gulfport.

Dept. of War

President Trump renaming the Dept. of Defense to the Dept. of War is quite rich. Remember that he didn'’ show up when he was called to service during Vietnam.

Qatar

So the U.S. finally joined the rest of the world and condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar. Maybe President Trump was afraid they’d want his plane back.

College football

So, let’s see if Georgia Tech gets a $500,000 fine for rushing the field.

Hogan’s will

Hulk Hogan cut his daughter out of his will. She said she wasn’t surprised because she had asked him to. However, that’s not the surprise. The will was $5 million. A celebrity of his stature and notoriety with all the events, endorsements, movie cameos, etc. over his lifetime ... one would think his estate, or the cash in it, would have been more.
