Eliminating FEMA

The problem with the elimination of FEMA so that the states can take care of their own disasters is money. States do not have the money needed to deal with destruction from a big storm. Only the federal government has the money to help these states. Sometimes we need big government.

It’s clear

President Vladimir Putin has shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that President Donald Trump is dangerously naive and foolish.

Great job

Hats off to Mayor Jay Trapani and the City of Waveland team for a great Labor Day weekend beach concert with firework show and flawless cleanup. Several hundred filled the beach Sunday event, yet by Monday morning you couldn’t tell anything had happened.

Poor track record

My wind insurance is more than my mortgage. If Mississippi becomes responsible for disaster recovery, heaven help us.

Make them pay

Well done by our military to eliminate the threat posed by the cartel attempting to bring drugs into our country.

Making America great

It’s good to have a president that is following through on his promises: If you are a threat to America, you will be dealt with appropriately.

Stuck on one thing

All I hear about is how well deportation is going. What about all the other problems we have? There was so much whining about the economy and jobs, but nothing now. We have moved on to crimes in the cities, like that will affect us here in Mississippi.
