History repeats

Prior to 1933, under the Weimar Republic, police forces in Germany were primarily controlled by the individual states and local municipalities. However, when the Nazis ascended to power, they swiftly brought law enforcement under strict central government control. This move included purging political opponents and installing loyal Nazis, fundamentally altering the landscape of law enforcement. Fast forward to the U.S. in 2025, where the National Guard was mobilized to large cities whose predominant political views conflicted with those of the Executive Branch. This action echoes the centralization of control seen in the past and raises important questions about the balance of power and the protection of democratic principles. In 1948, Winston Churchill famously said, “Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” His words serve as a powerful reminder that we must remain vigilant and learn from the past to prevent the repetition of mistakes and ensure the preservation of our democratic values.

Long Beach casino

The citizens of Long Beach would be foolish to allow a casino to take over their harbor. The harbor belongs to the people, not developers. Greed is a slippery slope.

Unity

I don’t recall President Trump running on unity like Biden/Harris did. They then went as far left as the Democrat party would allow, and further. How does it feel now that things are back right?

Is this OK?

Look, I know y’all want the Epstein files, but the best I can do is 600,000 Chinese students.

Oops

So, I was told MAGA was about free speech, America First, and promoting the free market Apparently that includes: 1) Jailing people for free speech they don’t like; 2) Giving opportunities to 600,000 Chinese students at the expense of American kids; 3) Government run industries.

Priorities

I’m just wondering is MAGA is going to be as big mad over President Art of the Deal’s support for bringing in 600,000 Chinese students as it is over Cracker Barrel’s logo.

Bailout

Why get excited over the government buying 10 percent of Intel? The government bought 60 percent of GM in 2008 and ultimately lost 500 billion dollars.
