Flag burning

King Art of the Deal has signed an order making it illegal to burn the flag. Let’s turn to perhaps the most conservative Supreme Court judge, a Republican icon for his thoughts: “You should be in no doubt that, patriotic conservative that I am, I detest the burning of the nation’s flag—and if I were king I would make it a crime. But as I understand the First Amendment, it guarantees the right to express contempt for the government, the Congress, the Supreme Court, even the nation and the nation’s flag.”

Isn’t there a word for this?

So the government has a stake in Intel now? if Democrats were pushing the government to take ownership in companies, Republicans would be burning portraits of Marx and Mao in the streets and screaming about socialism.

Republican socialism

Republicans are capitalists until they aren’t. They aren’t socialists until they are. President Trump is using tax money to buy 10% of the Intel Corporation for the federal government. Can you imagine the outcries of “Socialism!” from Republicans if Biden or Obama had done that? For “conservatives” to justify such a purchase by claiming it is “good for the people” is putting lipstick on a pig. Socialism is socialism by any other name. But if socialist moves are made by President Trump, then maybe socialism isn’t all bad? What’s an independent to think?

111 years

In 111 years, no Federal Reserve Governor has ever been fired, because it is an independent agency of government. President Trump is trying to fire the Harvard graduate who directs national monetary policy with no grounds and it is unconstitutional.

Trump’s fault?

Democrats held a delusional summer anti-Trump rally in Minnesota. With all the players headed by the failed VP candidate, the worst VP candidate in history. They all agreed it’s Trumps fault again.

In charge

The Heritage Foundation now rules our federal government. The Heritage Foundation has been politically maneuvering behind the scenes for decades to now reach its current level of control of President Trump, Trump’s cabinet and administration, the conservative Supreme Court Justices, and the Republican officials and elected officers. It has always promoted policies designed to preserve white supremacy, white Christian nationalism, and corporate power. It appears it is now in full control of our federal government. It is a shame the Sun Herald publishes its biased editorials.

What a joke

If you’re feeling down, don’t go to Comedy Central, just watch all the protesters across our beautiful country. You will have all the laughter you need. It will make your day.

Ocean Springs shootings

We ought to follow the lead of European cities with cameras everywhere. At least all bars should be required to have parking lot and barroom cameras recording any problems. Law-abiding people should accept this privacy compromise in exchange for safety. Street view cameras by the town could be included. Give the police something to work with.

Make D.C. safe again

People should be able to walk the streets in our national capital without fear of bodily harm. And if it takes the federal government to do it, then so be it.

Action

Seeing President Trump in action really underscores how little President Biden did as he slept through his four years in charge.

Red states overlooked

President Trump is sending troops to blue states. How about addressing the red states’ problems like poverty, inflation outpacing salaries, and the meth epidemic?

History

In Mississippi, there will be no history test to graduate. Guess this means they will soon stop teaching all history so President Tump, with Vladimir Putin’s help, can rewrite history.
