Support our leader

Our country is more divided ideologically than ever in our history. More than division, the pure hatred for our president by the radical left of the Democratic Party is even more disturbing. You would think that American citizens regardless of party affiliation would wish for the president to be successful. If the president is successful, then America is successful. Why wouldn’t every American want that?

No to new logo

I’m not a fan of the Cracker Barrel logo. The redesigned restaurant interior is kinda tolerable, however, retaining the original logo on signs and billboards to stay connected to the company’s origin, tradition and decades of customers would have made more sense. The new CEO was apparently struggling to make her mark and justify her existence but she failed miserably on this score.

Help, please

Would the Gulfport police stop drivers in the mornings from using the turning lane as a through lane southbound from Pass Road to U.S. 90. Maybe you could put up barriers like Hattiesburg. Thanks a million.

Tax increase?

To the mayor and city council members of Biloxi, I say no to a property tax increase. I suggest you trim the budget if there is a shortfall. Why must citizens always make up the budget shortfall? I will not vote for any city official that supports a tax increase. I am sure you can find some excessive spending to cut from the budget.

Amtrak’s return

I haven’t seen any comments about parking in Gulfport or Biloxi for overnight trips to NOLA. Any designated areas, grab any available spot, or just ride-share only to the station?

Welcome back

I, for one, am thrilled with Amtrak’s return to the Coast. I’m looking forward to taking a trip to New Orleans without having to fight the interstate traffic.

Nobody asked

News flash to Kamala Harris: The nation was eyewitness and suffered through the Biden administration on many levels. There is absolutely nothing you could have possibly written in your book that would be new, interesting or enlightening about your failed presidential campaign.

His-story

President Trump is giving the Smithsonian museum 120 days to soften its tone on slavery. I saw this coming from Day 1 with his attack on diversity, equity and inclusion. Trump has scrubbed the names of black Americans from military ships and bases replacing them with names of confederate commanders. He is attempting to eliminate PBS and NPR. And now his focus is on national museums. It’s just the beginning. Don’t be surprised if our governor cancels history in our own Civil Rights Museum. Sadly, this will be welcome to many of his followers.

Living wages

Open your eyes. Sanctuary Democrat cities and states demand a living wage. Yet they hold on to illegal immigrants so as not to pay such wages.

Walk of shame

Pay attention people. Yes, President Trump rolled out the red carpet. But Vladimir Putin had to park his plane about a block away and then Putin had to walk that distance past our state-of-the-art fighters. Yes, he got to ride in the “Beast”. It just rubbed it in more of what a real presidential limo is like and not his Russian Checker Cab. No, this was not being “friendly.” This was rubbing it in, American style. It was Putin’s walk of shame. Next time look at the whole picture.

Why they love him

Trump supporters don’t measure what he does for them. They measure what he does against others they don’t like. This is why they believe he is successful.

Trump’s salvation

I’ve been praying for Donald Trump‘s salvation for quite some time now. I heard him say recently that he is interested in getting through the pearly gates. However, he thinks that is accomplished by something he can do to earn salvation, as one might earn a Nobel Peace Prize. In John 14:6, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” To become a Christian, we must ask forgiveness for our sins and profess Jesus as our Savior. There are no special rules for anyone, not even presidents.
