Traffic trouble

Traffic along the Coast is getting worse, and the traffic light situation certainly isn’t helping. I used to complain when the Broadwater Hotel had just two stoplights that often disrupted the flow — but now it’s even worse. Treasure Bay has two lights, and the Beau Rivage has three. It’s almost impossible to get through that stretch without being stopped multiple times. Will they be adding yet another light once the Popps Ferry extension to Highway 90 is completed? And let’s not forget the new — and arguably unnecessary — Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College access road, which has already added another light on Pass Road. It feels like the traffic lights just keep multiplying. Where does it end?

Ocean Springs Road

The city destroyed the road and added a roundabout. Now they want to meet and fix it? You made this mess, it was stupid and a waste of taxpayers money. What’s next?

I-10

I guess now that Buc-ee’s is open there is no longer any rush to complete the roadwork around Exit 24. The road is a huge mess and I sure don’t see much of anything getting done.

Funny math

There’s an accountant joke that I’m afraid reflects how President Trump might hire the next Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The first applicant comes in and is asked, “How much is 2 + 2?” The applicant replies, “4.” The applicant is thanked and sent on their way. This continues until one applicant, when asked, “How much is 2 + 2?” gets up, locks the door, closes the curtains, takes the phone off the hook and then sits down and asks, “How much do you want it to be?”

What to believe?

The latest lesson from the current presidential administration: If your numbers make President TACO look bad, you better change them. That is, if you are interested in remaining gainfully employed.

A new one

I can’t say as I ever remember seeing a government official fired because reporting the truth made the president look bad.

Arrest them

Let me get this straight: The Democrats in Texas all left the state so the lawfully elected Republicans couldn’t legally vote? Seems like the simple solution is to find them and drag them back to Texas.

Do your job

Texas Democrats, the people elected you to do a job, not to run away when the going got tough.

That’s your next leader?

The more I read about and hear from Gavin Newsome, the more convinced I am that the Republicans will have a long reign. Do you really think the American people want more California? How did that work for Kamala Harris?

Trump’s character

President Trump doesn’t respond to his critics with reasons. Instead he insults and demeans his critics. Instead of evidence and facts we get gross exaggerations and lies. He is a handsome man with an ugly heart.

What’s going on?

It’s pretty appalling that Ghislaine Maxwell was moved to a cushy “prison” after speaking with a government representative.

Prosecute them all

Republican, Democrat or other, I don’t care. Anyone involved in the Jeffrey Epstein mess should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
