President Trump doesn’t like the DOL Jobs Report numbers, so he fires a DOL administrator. He doesn’t like the Smithsonian’s exhibit on all presidential impeachments, including his two impeachments, so the exhibit suddenly disappears. I’m not even surprised by his shenanigans anymore. It looks like we can expect more of the same as long as King Trump is in power.

Local opinions

Printing only local opinions isn’t a bad idea but it won’t educate those who spend only a few moments on the news. You can’t keep quiet as President Trump stomps on the Constitution and has made Congress impotent through job extortion. Yes, Joe Biden was an aging patriot slowly losing physical and mental acuity. But he loved democracy and was surrounded by a brilliant staff of professionals. Trump on the other hand is a convicted criminal, who desires is to be a supreme leader or king.

Better alternative

For all the whining and gnashing of teeth over President Trump’s many alleged misdeeds, I still feel more secure with him in the White House than Kamala Harris or whatever is left of Joe Biden.

What’s going on?

I’m sure there must be a reason President Trump isn’t being allowed recess appointments. I’d love to know what it is.

What ‘woke’ means

The real definition of “woke” refers to being aware of social injustices, particularly racial and social inequalities, a term that originated in African American English to describe consciousness of prejudice. This core meaning has been significantly changed by political rhetoric, where it is often used as a pejorative term by some on the political right to criticize progressive politics, social justice movements, and what they perceive as “woke culture.”

A limerick for us all

The cover-up may keep us distracted / If there’s a chance Trump is impacted / So he’ll say with a smile / There’s no Epstein File / Because everything has been redacted.

Immigration

From my point of view, the election of President Trump has made a positive difference in the number of illegal immigrants in South Mississippi.
