Sound Off: July 31, 2025
Sun Herald readers weigh in on local and national topics.
Liberal hysteria
The daily liberal meltdowns are eternally entertaining. If all you know about President Trump’s trip is that he played a round of golf and you know nothing about the massive deal he secured with the EU, perhaps you should find a better source of information.
Enough, already
I am very disappointed in reading Sound Off today. It’s embarrassing to me that every one of the comments were negative toward our president, as if he can’t do anything right. It looks as though the 33% of voters in Mississippi that are Democrats all seem to be doing nothing but complaining in Sound Off. Why not talk about something else instead of being so obsessed with President Trump? You have 3 1/2 years left and you look pathetic. Move on.
Troll in Chief
If you truly and actually are convinced that President Trump believes he can run for, and serve, a third term or that visiting “Epstein Island” would have been “a privilege” for him, the abject hate you have for him has consumed not only your soul but also your intellect. I chuckle every time one of you sounds off as if he were actually serious.
Epstein Island
It was quite humorous to see a post that the ‘country is in turmoil’ over President Trump’s association with Jeffrey Epstein. 98% of the country doesn’t even know about this, and another 1% doesn’t care.
More lies
Just when you think President Trump’s lies and ego can’t get any worse, guess what, you were wrong. Recently asked whether Israel should be allowing more aid to reach starving Gazans, Trump ignored the question and instead delivered a monologue about how he gets no recognition. The president bizarrely claimed that the U.S. alone, with no one else, has prevented starvation from happening in Gaza. He said the U.S. provided $65 million a few weeks ago and complained that “no one has thanked us.” The truth is that no one has prevented starvation in Gaza. No one has challenged Trump’s facts by pointing out that even doctors, journalists, and hospital staff in Gaza are now out of food and that mass starvation there has not been prevented by the U.S. or that it is particularly affecting children.
Leaning left
I don’t know if it is possible for the sound off to print more Trump hate (probably from the same 3 people over and over) then it already does. But it is very possible for me to not renew my subscription in a few months so I don’t have to read it.
Good jeans
American Eagle and Sydney Sweeny have a TV commercial out that has been attacked by liberal journalists and labeled racist and full of whiteness. They’re jealous.
