Ozzy and Hogan?
Can we hurry up and get this month over with, already?
Public officials
With recent belligerent activists interrupting elected officials from public appearances, disruption of public services like highways, courthouses and detention centers, I fear that really dedicated qualified individuals will no longer seek office or service. We need the very best but may only get less qualified candidates. Hope not.
Illegal immigrants
I’m not no against deporting illegal immigrants. I just want Congress to pass a bill with guidelines. Releasing masked armed men with the authority to detain anyone they suspect in unconstitutional.
How to stop it
We can arrest all the illegal immigrants we want, but as long as there are still jobs to be had, there will always be people crossing the border to work them. Seems like a better solution would be arresting a bunch of business owners who employ illegal immigrants. Maybe that would send a message.
Immigration confusion
Honestly, I’m confused as to why arresting people who illegally entered the country would be something anyone would be opposed to.
Trump and the Fed
Trump’s attempt to publicly embarrass Fed Chair Powell backfired when his purported piece of paper proof incorrectly included a past and completed building in its cost summation. This was a childlike attempt to bully a man in a PR stunt that clearly backfired. Another indication his stunt is all PR is that Powell doesn’t decide interest rates, it is decided by the 12-member Federal Open Market Committee. Unlike the president, these members know the importance of an independent FED and will not be swayed by presidential bullying.
Inflation
Inflation is not the problem. The problem is that people’s incomes are not keeping up with inflation.
Whew
I thought things were going badly, but seeing as how the president has time to worry about what we’re naming our professional sports teams, it’s clear that all our other big problems have been solved.
Gulf of ...
T-shirts and ball caps notwithstanding, there is no such place as Gulf of America, except in Donald Trump’s head. Those of you wearing such garb are just as delusional as he is.
Epstein list
I’ve come to the conclusion we’ll never see the full Epstein list. Democrats had their chance. Republicans had their chance. Guessing it’s not hard to figure out why.
So guilty
In a 2002 New York magazine profile, Donald Trump called Jeffrey Epstein “a terrific guy” who “likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them on the younger side.” Quite a quote there.
Our roads
Mississippi is number 19 on the list of states with the worst roads. Could have used some of those income tax dollars to fix this.
