Sanctuary cities

There is nothing in current immigration law that permits or disregards sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants. The opposite is true. The law says if you harbor or conceal an illegal or unlawful alien (migrant) you’re in violation. Sine the illegal entrant is breaking immigration law, you become an aide to the commission of that crime. Now you’re breaking the law as well. Sanctuary cities are, by their words and actions, breaking federal law, inciting and incentivizing violation of federal law and opposing federal law.

Loving the Coast

I’m a born & bred Pittsburgh Yankee who served two tours at Keesler AFB during my US Air Force career. I met my dear late wife here and fell in love with Biloxi and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I Thank God for a good life here and sure glad I did not retire in the Los Angeles area.

Limb cutting

The way Mississippi Power cuts limbs off power lines is a tragedy waiting to happen. Many heavy branches are looming over streets with little support. Maybe, the trees can be trimmed with safety in mind.

Record-breaker

Sunday’s edition was a truly monumental hatefest even by Sound Off standards

Use facts

It is so amazing to watch people get upset about transgender people playing sports. Once again why is it only boys playing girls sports? Where is the outrage over girls playing boys sports?

Monarchy ahead

Neither President Trump nor Congress believe in our Constitution’s tripartite form of government. The Legislature, i.e., Congress, is supposed to decide what to do, and the President, our chief Executive, is supposed to “execute,” i.e., carry out, the decisions of Congress. But what is happening is that the President decides what ought to be done and Congress approves it. Consequently, Congress is no longer needed while Trump is in office. He is also trying to muscle the Judiciary to do his bidding. Soon we will be a monarchy for all practical purposes. Our tripartite system of government will exist on paper only.

Taco time?

President Trump is talking and acting tough on California. I can’t help but wonder if this will be another TACO situation.
