What a joke

It is a sad day when a Buc-ee’s is the greatest act of economic development in Mississippi since the beef plant, the John Burgess Pipe Factory, PREVACUS, the Mississippi Community Education Center, New Learning Resources Inc., WorldCom, do I really need to go on? Mayberry RFD had Wally’s Gas Station and now we have Buc-ee’s. Mississippi has pretty much been making the same mistakes for the last century and a half. Why would anyone expect a change in behavior in the year 2025?

Tarrifs

Presidents have invoked tariffs since the beginning of our country. Even before the income tax, the tariff has been a tool of world trade. Now liberal judges are denying President Trump the authority to use tariffs to improve our economy.

Speak up

Sound Off allows for public speaking for the average everyday voter. It is crucial in a democracy because it facilitates public engagement, the free exchange of ides, public participation and challenges authority. I seriously doubt North Korea or Russia prints a Sound Off. Freedom calls for more voicing of opinions not less. Someone may not like what they are reading but that doesn’t mean people should be denied their freedom of speech.

Red glare

All of you Pollyannas, whose world views have been blinded by the glare of those stupid red hats you wear, cannot say you don’t see a stumbling, fumbling old uncle Frank sitting at your Thanksgiving table, making a lot of sounds, but not a single cogent sentence anywhere.

Missing Ole Biloxi

Ole Biloxi is gone, thanks to the current mayor and his inept administration. Everything is geared toward tourists. No Live Oak tree is safe with the Gilich Mob out cut them down. As if we need another fast food chicken joint. Sad.

Lack of resources

Well, it finally happened. Some ma fell walking in the grass on Victory Street. The grass had puddles of water and no sidewalks. About 10 firefighters have responded.

DOGE

It’s a shame the way Elon Musk and the DOGE team have been treated by the swamp.
