It’s OK now?
So the same folks screaming about how much money the Obamas allegedly made in office and who wanted to hang Hunter Biden for selling artwork are now totally, completely OK with President Trump receiving a jumbo jet from Qatar? Which, I’m sure, isn’t bugged at all.
Proof is there
For the person that wants to see the proof of DOGE’s amazing work, just go to doge.gov and the proof is there. The purpose of Doge is to reduce Waste, Fraud and Abuse that will eventually grow the economy. There job was not to grow the economy and your investments. That will come, in part, from the work of DOGE. Thanks, Elon.
Hospital ratings
The recent article highlighting local hospital ratings really put up a red flag about the sad direction that health care is going. I cannot speak for other hospitals, but I have had many experiences with the hospital in Ocean Springs and unfortunately all have not been favorable. Pass by a nurses desk at any time and see that cell phones are getting all of the attention that the patients should be getting.
Free parking
It’s Second Saturday in the Bay. At noon, I witnessed something that really shocked me: All down Second Street, which is no parking, cars were parked from Antique Mason to the Mockingbird. Not a police officer was in sight. It was like suddenly the entire street was legal parking. When did this happen?
Best Sound Off ever
On May 9, 2025, I read the best Sound Off ever. It was titled: Be Thankful. I only wish I had written it; but I did not. It basically spoke about how we Americans complain about everything, but would trade places with no other country. Most salient line: we’re not suffering from injustice—we’re suffering from ingratitude. Whoever you are; thanks for writing.
Silliness
Congressional Democrats as well as a New Jersey mayor stormed an ICE facility. Some were arrested but these people made a fool of themselves.
Toward the truth
From reading Sound Offs it’s stunning how much is concluded from very little information and how strongly it is claimed. Yes, we need to infer conclusions from the information we have in order to have something to act on and find out how well it works or how well it fits with established facts. But so many writers claim to know more than they possibly can about what’s going on in other people’s minds or what’s going on in other cities or states or nations or how well a certain proposal will work.
I have eyes
To the person who was asking for proof of Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s tattoos, I simply direct you to the social media channel of the president of the United States. There, our president posted what he purports to be a photo of the MS-13 tattoos. They are utterly and clearly fake. They look absolutely nothing like actual tattoos. They look just as real as the altered hurricane map the president showed during his last administration.
Good luck
The Democratic party as we know it is finished. The party of illegal immigration and anti-Israeli protesters is all but washed up. Nobody’s going to vote for the radicals.
Duped
The absurdity by the Trump administration of the unsustainable 145% tariffs was another ridiculous publicity stunt. Even an idiot knows you can’t tax at 145% without counter retribution from the other countries.
Museums and more
Private citizens donated nearly $2 billion to the Democratic presidential campaign and Republicans nearly $1 billion. Those citizens can choose to donate to museums and public radio/television. Our country’s debt will destroy us if it is not fixed.
Make it make sense
So President Trump eliminates the previous president’s cuts to drug prices, only to then issue an executive order rolling those same prices back. Thanks? I guess?
