Spillway solution

Although diverting floodwaters from the Mississippi down the Atchafalaya instead of opening the Bonnet Carré Spillway sounds like a good way around dumping fresh water in the Mississippi sound it could have enormous consequences. First it would shift flood risk from coastal Mississippi to central Louisiana and the endanger critical infrastructure. Instead of oysters and shrimp croaking we would have Cajuns swimming. If that weren’t bad enough there is a strong likelihood that the Mississippi River might permanently change course. If it did this New Orleans, Baton Rouge and the industries along the Mississippi could no longer support the large ships servicing these areas. This would be a scenario with major economic and environmental consequences.

Donnie two-dolls

Maybe your child should only have two dolls instead of 30, says the president who famously owned a three-floor Manhattan apartment overlooking Central Park that was “decked out in 24-carat gold, marble and mirrors,” according to House and Garden.

Beware

President Trump said on Truth Social: “He who saves his Country does not violate any Law.” That is a chilling statement. He believes he is trying to save his country; therefore he believes that no matter what he does in that effort it does not break the law.

Democrats just mad

The Democrats continue to attack President Trump only because they are mad about losing the election and realize they have no candidates capable of winning a national election in their pipeline.

Deportations

President Obama deported 10 times as many illegal aliens as Donald Trump. In so doing each of them was afforded a hearing before a judge who then either approved them being deported or ordered their release. No person was grabbed off the street and sent to live in a torture prison and no United States citizen was sent to live out of our great country. Too bad Trump refuses to do the same with the few he is deporting. We are our own worst enemy.

About time

Left-leaning NPR and PBS will get no more taxpayer money. Thank you, President Trump.

Tariffs

Other countries have tariffs on our products so that their citizens will purchase goods produced in said country. That is what President Trump is trying to achieve. Make products here, buy those products here.
