Congratulations, Canada

So the conservative party in Canada appeared well on its way to dominating its election until President Trump weighed in with his 51st-state silliness. Another big L for Mr. Art of the Deal.

Just sayin’

I have been reading Democrat and Republican Sound Offs for some time now. I do not understand what has happened to “What is right is right” and “What is wrong is wrong.” Seems like there is some of both on both sides of the issues. Seems like there is an awful lot of problems in the judiciary these days with making fair and unbiased judgments against people coming before them. Again, both sides of the aisle.

Counting

I’m collecting stories of all the domestic killings in South Mississippi since the media won’t do it. I wonder why?

Messy

President Trump called for the revival of Columbus Day. You would think a staff member would tell him it has never gone away. People are just protesting the false narrative that Columbus discovered America. He stumbled upon it and thought it was India. Hence the name Indians.

Don’t be helpless

Women and young ladies please get this: If your boyfriend or spouse verbally, and more importantly, physically abuses you, even once, follow your instant gut reaction and leave. Don’t second guess yourself.

Celebrate the Union

Mississippi holds a Confederate Memorial Day each year. Therefore each year there should also be a Celebrate the Union Day. Surely it is as important to celebrate the survival of the Union as it is to memorialize those who tried to destroy it. Do our state politicians agree?

Set aside prejudice

The relentless bashing and attacks by the news media and biased commentators are clearly aimed at discrediting, minimizing, or outright ignoring President Trump’s accomplishments and his efforts to make America great once again. Rather than acknowledging the progress made in areas like the economy, national security, and job creation, many in the media choose instead to focus on negativity and division. If they truly cared about the future of our country, they would set aside their prejudices and work with President Trump to help restore America to the strength, prosperity, and unity it once knew.
