I’d like to report governmental waste. Please look into the cost of sending a collection of Americans to Greenland for a photo-op at a military base.

Take the money and run

Bill Clinton, who I still vehemently dislike, downsized the government and actually balanced the budget, effectively eliminating the deficit. This administration is downsizing the government to eliminate the income tax, but projects to increase the deficit by $3 trillion. Any intelligent person knows this is going to make inflation worse.

Dangerous lights

Every evening, lights aggressively flash on the beach sign at Cowan Road and U.S. 90. Drivers and homeowners that are vulnerable to optical seizures that can be triggered by these lights. Count on hefty financial payouts by the city for accidents caused by this bizarre situation. We pay a fortune in taxes for services that have no impact on our safety — raking the sand on the beaches comes to mind. Why are elected officials and city bureaucrats ignoring this safety hazard that may result in a dangerous accident?

Guilty or innocent?

To the writer of Guilty or Innocent in Sound Off. If by “guilty” you are referring to immigrants, be advised that they became criminals when they crossed the border without proper documentation.

Popp’s Ferry cleanup

Just to piggy back on Saturdays Sound Off about the clean up of Popp’s Ferry Road, thank you Biloxi men and women. You have done an excellent job.

Unreported epidemic

There have been multiple incidents of domestic violence in our communities. Why isn’t this reported as an epidemic? Is it because many of the perpetrators are white males?

Pentagon firings

Headline: ”Hegseth signs memo for cuts to Pentagon workforce.” He should start by firing himself for incompetency by divulging secret war plans. Lead by example, Pete.

Democratic policies

I know the liberal Democrats hate President Trump, but I sure would like to know their exact policies on solving governmental waste, abuse and fraud. I would like to know their policies and solutions on DEI, domestic terrorism, illegal immigration, our failed educational system, transgender males involved in girls sports, inflation, antisemitism, parental control of education, no taxation on social security and overtime, and solutions for the Ukraine-Russia war, as well as the Israeli-Palestinian war. Also district federal judges dictating national policies. Their hate for Trump, his administration and Elon Musk are not policies or solutions. Public shouting, singing silly songs and foul language won’t convert any reasonable citizen. Please intelligently state alternate convincing policies or cross the political isle and compromise with common sense policies.

No justice

President Trump says he won’t fire anyone who participated in the war plans talk on a non-secure platform. He has fired people for far less. He proves again the country is not his priority.

Darwell’s

So the liberal deviants are voicing their pain from a couple having an opinion. It’s OK for liberals to rage and disparage others, but let the shoe fit on the other foot and those folks are mean and hateful. Poor babies. I’ll be happy to patronize Darwell’s restaurant.

Better under Biden

I used to be a Trump supporter, but now my investments have lost thousands and my wife has lost her job because it was a grant that was useful and productive. We did better when Biden was president.

Wrong call?

So, just so I understand this: The guy stripping our government down to the studs is the same guy whose company keeps building cars that fall apart and rockets that blow up?
