Couples Celebration Day

I am a woman. I was born a woman. My husband is a man. He was born a man. We are not able to have children. We aren’t rich and cannot afford IVF. I’m deeply offended by the statement that only couples who can produce a child are real people. I’m also tired of people who make hurtful statements saying they’re sorry if anyone was offended or misunderstood. I perfectly understand what you’re saying. And that is not an apology.

Capitol riot

Could you please give me the name of the news outlet where you got the information that six policemen died at the Capitol on Jan. 6th? My information states that one person died on that day, Ashli Babbit. She was shot by a Capitol policeman.

Sewage pond

Depravity seems to be the adjective to best describe the current state of American culture. There seem to be no restraints at all on the ways people are behaving socially, publicly or privately. Social media, airplanes, streets, events, parties, schools, work places. Nearly everyday there seems to a new report on the arrest of a female teacher molesting children under her care. Everybody that wants to make quick but large sums of money, including former actors and celebrities, has an OnlyFans account. The money they claim to make serves to entice others to go that route for income. Road rage, embezzlement, subway violence, cons, increasing drug use and anarchy. It would be incorrect to use adjectives like civility, decorum, moral or respectful. Certainly not principles like honest, fair, thoughtful, kind, unselfishness or helpful. It seems like we’ve fallen into a great big sewage pond and can’t find a ladder to get out.

Guilty or innocent?

Apparently according to President Trump if you are an American citizen you are innocent until proven guilty. If you are not an American citizen you are guilty until proven innocent.

DOGE

I saw some vets picketing outside the Biloxi VA on my way home from Keesler. Not sure if they are veterans upset at possible loss of VA care or veterans upset at being laid off. As a military retiree and one who also retired from a second career in the civilian sector, I empathize in both situations — I want good VA care but I also know our government has become extremely bloated. I fully support President Trump’s efforts to downsize our government, cut the financial “fat” and fairly call out fraud, waste and abuse in all government agencies. I realize that there will be pain, but I believe it will be worth it in the long run.

DEI at the Smithsonian

President Trump wants any mention of race or gender from Smithsonian. This is a historical institution. History is what has happened. Misinformation is false facts. History should be accurate accounts of events. Is he so insecure he can’t give credit for what others have accomplished?

Keep the faith

Keep the faith, liberals. Polls that show the Democrat party in the toilet are just Fox lies. With Rep. Ocasio-Cortez as your new leader, the country will yours once again.
