Madness
March Madness is finally here. I sure hope our president can find time out of his busy schedule of golfing and threatening our longtime allies to attend some of the games, like he did the Super Bowl and Daytona 500? What’s another $3 million in travel fees? Elon Musk can just fire a few more veterans to make up for the cost.
Putin’s stance
Russian president Vladimir Putin has taken a hard line in the recent push for a Ukrainian-Russian ceasefire. That’s to be expected. A friend of mine who participated in several arms control negotiations with the Russians shared with me the Russian approach to negotiations. It is, “What’s mine is mine. What’s yours is mine. Now, let’s negotiate.” Looks like Putin has pulled out the old Russian playbook and will not be satisfied until the Ukraine is his.
Day 1
I’m old enough to remember all the promises of the great things that would happen on the first day of Donald Trump’s presidency. Didn’t realize he’d be stopping with renaming a bunch of stuff.
Free your mind
I’m still amazed by single source news followers. If you never seek news from the opposing view you can be certain you are uninformed. At least 98% of news sources have mostly identical ideologies. After only two days of starting to read Sound Off again I see most of the complaints are from those same sheep who fall in line with one source of news. They seam to totally overlook the faults of the past administration and think government has all the answers despite the long history of its numerous failures.
He said it
President Trump said that he’s using the Justice Department to go after anyone who participated in any criminal case or charges against him. All while accusing Biden of weaponizing the Justice Department. He really thinks we are dumb, blind and deaf.
Not news
If the source from which you obtain information about current events has an agenda, such as CNN or Fox News, then what you are receiving is not news, it’s propaganda. That this is acceptable practice is terrifying.
Tripped up the stairs
I’m guessing all the folks so concerned about the last doddering old president will be pointing out the current doddering old president can’t walk up a flight of stairs.
