Where is Joe?
It’s pretty incredible how invisible Joe Biden has been since President Trump’s inauguration. Seems he either doesn’t care to weigh in on how things are going or he’s really as out of it as everyone thought.
Promises made
How are we doing on getting that Epstein list released? OK, but what about those rising egg prices? No? But, hey, at least we renamed the Gulf of Mexico.
DOGE and audits
A couple of recent Sound Offs praised DOGE for identifying fraud, waste and abuse. I have yet to see a list of fraud, waste and abuse that it has uncovered. And to my knowledge, they have conducted no audits in the usual sense of the word. Instead, it just declares an agency “bloated” and fires a bunch of federal employees in the name of cost reduction, with no regard to the impact that action has on the agency’s mission.
The new Rush
Joe Rogen must be Rush Limbaugh’s replacement. Conservatives know how to keep their messaging alive. And they become millionaires doing it.
One gender
I continue to be amazed at how the idea of boys being boys and girls being girls became anything other than truth.
No benefit
While the state sales tax on groceries will decrease to 5%, the local sales tax could offset these savings. Also, we will get higher costs for gas due to the gasoline tax increase.
Doesn’t make sense
Elon Musk’s directive to have federal workers send in an accounting of their work was not well thought-out. There are millions of these workers. Who is going to tally these? Both Musk and Trump are making impulsive decisions with dire consequences. Their plan is to create chaos to distract us.
Stopping fraud
One doesn’t eliminate fraud in the government by firing thousands of people without an investigation first. If you were sent in to a company to eliminate waste and fraud, wouldn’t you go there and see where the fraud is and who is responsible for that fraud? Then, wouldn’t you fire only those responsible for this problem, and restructure the workplace so that it can continue without the fraud and waste? Do Trump supporters ever think for themselves instead of praising everything stupid thing that Trump says and does?
Carolinas on fire
I’m old enough to remember when folks hammered President Biden for his lack of response to the fires in California. Now that North Carolina and South Carolina are on fire, could someone maybe get the president off the golf course? Maybe he can “turn on the water” like he allegedly did for California.
Finally
Why did it take an act from the president for the NCAA to only allow women to compete against women. Well done, President Trump. And it’s about time, NCAA.
Never vote again
“Vote this one time, you’ll never have to vote again.“ He’s right, because when Russia takes over the United States, President Putin won’t be holding elections.
Figure it out
Why is it Democrats never seem to know when to step aside? From Ruth Bader Ginsburg to President Biden, they sure do love to hang on well past their best-by date.
