Ukraine

I sure hope DOGE takes a hard look at all the unaccounted-for funding that went to President Zelenskyy and Ukraine.

What’s so funny?

Elon Musk attended CPAC with a chainsaw in his hand and a grin on his face. Is he amused that people are upset about losing their jobs?

Justifying jobs

Instead of requiring all federal employees to justify their jobs, why not ask their supervisor or administrator to justify that the job is necessary? If the job is no longer productive, eliminate the position.

We’re going to die?

It’s sad how the Democrats immediately go after anything President Trump does with a never-ending fear campaign about how our nation and democracy are doomed and people will die. Maybe it’s time they do a deep dive into how inflated our government bureaucracy has become and where our hard-earned tax dollars are going.

Hypocrisy

Vice President Vance went to Europe and accused its countries of opposing free speech because they oppose speech, in favor of fascism and Nazism. Yet Vance and President Trump have directed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to avoid words such as “gender,” “transgender,” “diversity,” “entitlement,” “evidence-based,” “fetus,” “science-based,” “vulnerable,” and “pregnant person.” In addition they have removed references to “transgender” individuals from the Stonewall National Monument’s website, which honors the LGBTQ+ movement. Moreover, the National Science Foundation has a list of problematic words, including “women,” “gender,” “minority,” and ”biases,” which it warns its researchers and grant applicants about lest their reports and applications be penalized for political reasons. Therefore it is the height of hypocrisy for Vance and Trump to criticize Europe for suppressing free speech when they are far more guilty.

Offensive

As a Baptist, I’m offended by the reports that “Catholics all over the world are praying for Pope Francis.“ The fact is that Christians all over the world are praying for Pope Francis, and not just a few Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus. He is a much-loved religious leader.

Surprising

Do physicians really need to make so much money that they can fund major retail developments? Maybe it would be good if patients paid health care providers less so they could afford to pay more in other areas of their lives.
