DOGE
If Elon Musk can find billions of dollars in fraud, waste and abuse in virtually every government agency, why couldn’t President Biden find any? The answer is simple. He did not want to. The money is already spent, so you can’t retrieve it and give it back to the taxpayers. What you can do is fire the culprit and cut the agency’s appropriation by an equal amount. The agency would have to trim back employment to stay within the budget. Use surplus funds to reduce the deficit. Will it hurt? Yes, but is necessary to stay solvent.
Let’s see the receipts
I’ve seen a whole lot of Elon Musk bragging about the billions of dollars in fraud and waste his DOGE team has uncovered. What I haven’t seen is anything resembling any kind of proof. And judging from his social media posts, you clearly can’t believe anything he says.
King cake
To anyone that is trying to find the best king cake on the Coast, needs to try the king cake at the Electrik Maid Bake Shop on Pass Road in Biloxi. Their king cakes doesn’t have the colored sugar on top, but has the best cake frosting on the Coast. You have to get there early because they close at 1 p.m.
Much ado about nothing
Why are we focused on transgender athletes when their percentage is 1% of all high school and college athletes? It is another issue like bathrooms that is just creating the illusion that something is being accomplished.
Our money
Finally, all federal funds supporting illegal immigrants have been stopped. My only question is why did it take 29 days?
Ukraine
Russia invaded Ukraine, not vice-versa. President Trump saying that Ukraine started the war with Russia is exactly like the typical excuse that a wife-beater, with a sneer, gives for beating his wife: “She made me do it. She was disobedient and obstinate.”
No vino
The reason thousands of wine drinkers in Mississippi cannot purchase wine in grocery stores is simply amazing. About one hundred or so liquor store owners pay a lobbyist to influence the politicians who prevent the grocery stores from selling wine.
Scoop it
If you walk your dog and allow it to poop In someone’s yard or foot traffic paths, you are responsible for scoping it up. If this isn’t an ordinance it should be.
Our country
President Trump is still a TV star, with his focus on his image, his ego, and his wealthy cronies. His focus is not on helping everyday Americans. It is on making Trump even greater. The wrecking ball of Elon Musk and his associates is ripping apart the government to serve their interests, not ours. It is time for us to wake up and stop it. This is our country, not Trump’s.
We’re No. 1
One of President Trump’s campaign promises was to “bring down prices for everyday goods.” Recent analysis shows Mississippi leading the nation with a 2.64% increase in prices. Other categories where Mississippi is at the bottom of the rankings are: murders, emergency preparedness, health care, obesity, sexually transmitted disease, and poverty. Hopefully our governor and elected officials will try harder to address these serious issues.
Still Biden
They wanted Joe to go away, but screamed “no fair” when he dropped out of the race. Why does the right still feel the need to talk about him almost every day in Sound Off? There is a lot of Biden Derangement Syndrome going on here.
Double standard
President Trump has 5 kids by 3 women and Musk has at least 12 kids by 3 women. My how morality has changed. I remember when that was a sign of low morals and low integrity.
